Have I always been a novelist? No, for more than thirty years I never put pen to paper in a creative way. What I have always been is a reader. I’d disappear into other writers ramblings, leaving my own imaginings unexplored. I think it would have carried on that way had I not happened on a wonderful internet site called C19. It was here I discovered the wonderful world of fan fiction. You may laugh –plenty do – but it was here that I discovered the freedom to write. It was almost as if I was given permission to explore my own imagination. Those early attempts at story telling were raw and immature but I discovered a love for the writing process which shows no sign of waning.
The thrill of inviting people into a world of my imagining has proven to be rather addictive. So much so that I have taken the plunge and left the comfort of fanfiction land and published my first original novel – Weathering the Storm.
